Can there be anything worse than a one to one interview with a stranger? Yes, a panel interview where several interviewers are asking the questions and observing your reaction and response. This state of affairs may not intimidate everybody but for certain it is not the most comfortable position to be in. A question that you would normally answer with assuredness acquires another dimension when at the back of your mind you wonder whether one of the other interrogators will find fault with your response.

Keeping eye contact is not easy but is essential, giving your answer to the floor or ceiling is a recipe for disaster. Preparing for interview should include practicing this discipline.
Expect follow-up questions from any or all of the attendants as each one will have their issues.
At some panel interviews one person is the questioner while the rest observe. The same rules apply; address your responses to the group and not the individual.
An interview is time consuming and costly for any company, they have invited you because they think you may be the person for the job so make an effort to be on time, presentable and show that you have given some thought to the job requirements.
A good interviewer should spend more time getting the best out of you rather than trying to trip you up. Spending more time on negatives rather than positives is a waste of an interview. Remember this as you sit in front of a panel interview, think positive but try not to appear over confident.
